Western Pennsylvania Conservancy Western Pennsylvania Conservancy Uses Blackbaud Ticketing and Fundraising Solutions to Enhance Customer Experiences and Cut Tour Operation Processes by Half
Founded in 1932, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is committed to saving the places the community cares about by connecting people to the natural world. In addition to protecting more than 200,000 acres of land, planting urban gardens, and helping local watershed groups restore degraded waters, it maintains and preserves Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece.
The Challenge: Western Pennsylvania Conservancy needed to replace its inadequate ticketing system, which took Fallingwater visitors through a lengthy series of steps and created long lines, tarnishing the customer experience.
The Solution: Fallingwater selected The Patron Edge®, Blackbaud’s ticketing management solution, to streamline its admissions booth, reduce paper-based processes, and provide visitors the ability to purchase tickets online.
The Results: With The Patron Edge in place, Fallingwater reduced the paper requirements for running the admissions booth, information desk, phone center and other tour related operations by half. In addition, integration with The Raiser’s Edge® gives staff a better understanding of each visitor, enabling them to more efficiently target key groups for memberships. With this visitor insight, staff members have been able to more quickly sell and process memberships, ultimately increasing phone center membership sales alone by more than 45 percent.
