Founded in 1863 by Dr. James Knight and 20 prominent New Yorkers, Hospital for Special Surgery is the oldest orthopedic hospital in the country. Recognized since its inception as a world leader in musculoskeletal medicine, over 400 of the Hospital’s 500+ graduates hold positions in major orthopedic departments, many serving as department heads.
The Challenge:
Hospital for Special Surgery needed to allow online donations, but staff members were concerned about security and integration with the current site.
The Solution:
The Hospital chose Blackbaud NetCommunity to help them set up a donation website that was reflective of the rest of the site.
The Results:
Blackbaud NetCommunity provided a way for Hospital staff to allow secure online transactions in an area of their site that was indistinguishable from the rest, fulfilling their need to accept donations while consistently representing their online brand and image.
