Piedmont Baptist College and Graduate School Piedmont Baptist College and Graduate School Uses Blackbaud Solutions To Manage Student Information and Integrate Operations
Piedmont Baptist College has a rich history as a nationally accredited and independent college, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Like other small colleges, Piedmont prides itself on its mission and the personal attention that it delivers to its students.
The Challenge:
Facing a growing trend of decreasing enrollment numbers among bible colleges, Piedmont Baptist College administration knew that the best way to ensure the continued success of the institution was to increase enrollment and tuition dollars. With the majority of the student body hailing from North Carolina, the school expanded its graduate programs by acquiring a school with an online educational program so they could offer the College’s services to a new market. Aditionally, the business, registrar’s, and advancement offices worked out of different systems. In order to move forward with their strategic goals, staff members at the College knew they needed to improve communication and information management between these offices.
The Solution: Piedmont Baptist College had been using The Financial Edge for several years in their business office, so it was natural that administrators came to Blackbaud seeking a solution for their student information needs. They found that Blackbaud Student Information System was the right size solution for their institution’s needs and came at a fraction of the cost compared with other options that were evaluated. In fact, they were also able to bring in an integrated solution for advancement, The Raiser’s Edge. Based on their existing relationship, Piedmont knew they could count on Blackbaud to act as a partner with them to meet their goals.
The Results: After integrating Blackbaud Student Information System and The Raiser’s Edge® with The Financial Edge™, the institution was able to bring together its campus offices. Communication improved and it was easier to manage their student records and other data. Faculty and administration can easily access and update student information, class availability, and program information, which has improved communication among offices and with students. This, in turn, made it easier for Piedmont Baptist College to accommodate the variety of degrees and program offerings envisioned in their expansion plans. |
