Trinity Episcopal School, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a leading co-educational, Episcopal school specializing in the education of young children. For the past 47 years, the school’s mission has been challenging the intellect, nourishing the spirit, and celebrating community.
The Challenge:
Trinity Episcopal Church and School has several different offices, and previously, each office used a different database so retrieving reliable, up-to-date information about constituents was difficult. In addition, staff members felt their organization’s website wasn’t adequately representing the rich history and personal attention offered by the institution and wanted to completely redesign the site. After Hurricane Katrina, the organization lost touch with its constituents due to a server failure, and needed a way to achieve business continuity in times of disaster.

The Results:
After implementing Blackbaud solutions, the organization consolidated 14 databases into one, making it easier for staff members to communicate with each other and with key stakeholders. Blackbaud design consultants helped the school create an online portal that uses iconic images of the school to create a virtual doorway that the school could be proud of. Following Hurricane Katrina, Blackbaud got the organization’s systems and website back up and running, which has helped it maintain communication with its transient community. Constituents are now able to update their addresses and make donations online, and all of the data is captured in one consolidated database.
