If so, you will want to attend this overview of key areas and concepts. This session will introduce you to features such as transactions codes that you can use to enhance tracking and financial reporting for your organization. In addition, we will take a look at the new budgeting capabilities within The Financial Edge which will provide you the ability to budget down to the transaction code level for items such as grants. This session will also help you understand and identify other software-related sessions you may want to attend during the Conference to build your knowledge.

Have you ever ventured into the Visual Chart Organizer or Pivot Reports only to immediately turn back? If so, you will want to attend this session to explore key reporting concepts in The Financial Edge. We will take a look at how to create Visual Charts from the ground up to get the desired reporting format. In addition, we will take a look at alternative ways to view queries you already have included pivot reports and dashboards. This session is designed to provide you with a comfort level in the design aspect of the Visual Chart Organizer and other reporting tools along with some tips and tricks for creating advanced reports immediately within the system.

Presented in non-technical terms, this second session of a two-part sequence will review how to use Blackbaud’s software to effectively establish strong internal controls using your existing technology.

What is the big deal about integrated systems? Why is it so important to have an integrated solution stack? Why does it matter if the finance and development offices use technoloy that "talks" to each other? The purpose of this session is to define solution stack and what the implications of the solution stack are for the different parts of your organization and for the constituents that your organization serves. Through the review of several different solutions (including The Raiser's Edge, The Financial Edge, and others), this session will demonstrate key concepts on implementiong system integrations, combining data to enhance organizational efficiencies, and things to think about as you add new pieces to your organization’s solution stack.
