Wondering if you can afford to attend Blackbaud’s 2009 Conference for Nonprofits?
You can’t afford not to attend!
Here’s why:
- Blackbaud’s Conference for Nonprofits is all about innovation.
Hear innovative ideas and real-world examples of techniques that you can start using right away when you get back to work. You’ll learn new approaches and best practices to drive improvements in your organization’s processes. With more than 100 sessions spread over three days, you will be able to customize your Conference experience to get the education you need. Whether you want to keep up-to-date with key issues facing nonprofits, network with other nonprofit professionals, or learn more from industry experts, you’ll find it in Charleston this fall.
- You’ll be able to share what you learned at the Conference with coworkers.
After you’ve enriched your knowledge with tailored information, you’ll be able to work together with your team of coworkers to implement what you learned. Show that you're willing to spread the word and everyone will appreciate your efforts to help.
Sign up for a skills workshop and get a complimentary website audit for your organization. Attend a hands-on workshop and have an Internet expert from Blackbaud review your website and give you tips on how to maximize it.
- Roundtables, roundtables, roundtables.
This year, attendees will have multiple opportunities to join their peers and Blackbaud staff at expert-moderated roundtable discussions covering topics and trends in the nonprofit world and Blackbaud technologies.
- CFREs and CPAs can receive Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.
All of the financial management sessions at the Conference are eligible for CPE credit.CPE credits have been granted based on a 50-minute hour. Each 75-minute Conference session is eligible for 1.5 CPE credits.
There’s no better place to network and interact. The Conference networking events that are taking place in downtown Charleston on Monday and Tuesday nights will provide a great place for you to network and interact with your peers and Blackbaud staff. Our Monday night pop-art themed event at the Memminger Auditorium is a must attend!
- Take advantage of specialized tracks.
We’re cross-referencing our sessions this year so you’ll be able to easily identify which ones best apply to you and your role.
- Get more advanced training.
We expect that more than half of the Conference attendees will have attended our Conference before. After gathering attendee feedback from previous years, we learned that you want more in-depth and technical training sessions — so we’re offering more! Look for advanced Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge sessions that will help take your product knowledge to new levels.
Learn about leading-edge solutions in the Blackbaud Marketplace. With more than 20 exhibitors specializing in serving nonprofits, the Conference Marketplace will give you the opportunity to save countless hours of research by seeing the best and latest products and technology gathered in one location.
- Consider a one-day pass as an alternative.
If you just can't get the funds to do a complete Conference trip, consider attending for one day. This may be especially attractive if you live within driving distance of Charleston. Once you attend, you can build a case for full attendance in a future year. All in all, conference fees and travel expenses are insignificant compared to the total investment you will be making in your organization’s success. We hope to see you in Charleston!
