Add an Application User

Application users are the individual users of your system. After you add users, you assign them to specific system roles to determine the tasks and areas of the application they can access.

When you add a user to the system, you enter a user name and a description. The user name must be less than 19 characters. You also enter a temporary password. To maintain security, you should provide the new user with the temporary password and instruct them to change their password when they log in.

It is important to note that all user passwords must meet the following complexity requirements:

A password cannot be the same or overly similar to a previously used password.
Passwords must be at least eight characters in length.
Passwords must contain at least three of the following four character types: uppercase letters (ABC), lowercase letters (abc), numbers (123), or symbol characters (!@#).

Note: When you save the new user, your organization’s site id is appended to the user name you entered. For example, if you entered “JohnSm” in the User name field and your organization site ID is 1212, when you save, the user name becomes “JohnSm1212.” When this user logs into the system they enter “JohnSm1212” and their password.

Note: Passwords expire every 90 days. 15 days before your password expires, a notification appears to change your password.
