EFT and Credit Card Processes

Electronic funds transfer (EFT) is a general banking process by which direct debit transactions such as deposits or bill payments are made electronically from a donor’s bank account to your bank account. To authorize and process credit cards in the program, you use merchant accounts with a payment processor or gateway such as Blackbaud Merchant Services. To process direct debit and credit card payments, you create transmission files to send to your organization’s bank or merchant account for authorization and processing.
