If users already have a Raiser's Edge NXT account do I need to invite them to ResearchPoint?

If users already have a single sign-on account they use with Raiser's Edge NXT, how they log in to ResearchPoint depends on whether they already have a ResearchPoint account.

If your Raiser's Edge NXT users already have a ResearchPoint user record, no, you do not need to invite them.

After your ResearchPoint database is enabled for single sign-on, your Raiser's Edge NXT users will navigate to your ResearchPoint URL. They will enter their single sign-on credentials they use for Raiser's Edge NXT. They will complete one additional step to link their single sign-on account with their existing ResearchPoint account. Afterwards, they will now have one account they use to sign in to both products.

Note: If the email address your Raiser's Edge NXT users used for their single sign-on account is different from the email address they have on their existing ResearchPoint credentials, then the linking will not work. We recommend you update the ResearchPoint user record to the same email address as on the single sign-on account. Otherwise, you'll need to invite the email address used with the single sign-on account as a new application user.

However, if your Raiser's Edge NXT users do not have a ResearchPoint user record, then yes, you do need to add them as new application user records and invite them to the product.
