Create New Searches

Whenever you find a new trend that you'd like to start tracking, you can create a new search term for it. The recommended way to discover new search term ideas is to follow the Trending Hashtags and Trending Terms section on the home Dashboard. These sections provide an inside look into the broader conversations on social media, and can guide you on how to begin creating a search.

It's important to set up your searches as soon as you possible when you want to follow a trend, since historical posts will not be available for any time before your search was created.

There is no limit to the amount of searches your organization can save in, so create as many searches as you'd like. However, you may want to first confirm that you're not already tracking a trend under a different search. (Check Edit Multiple Searches at Once to compare your existing searches.)

To Create a New Search:

  1. Under the Searches tab, click Create New Search...

  2. Provide a Nickname .

  3. Under Search term, add your terms, following the examples in the right column of what to use and what not to use.

  4. Click Save Changes.

Once the search is created, you'll begin seeing relevant posts after a few minutes, depending on how often your contacts are using the terms.
