Login page settings

Platform managers configure settings for the login page. We recommend you enable the More information link. When users select the link, a pop-up message appears.

Consult your legal resources and visit http://docs.blackbaud.com/privacy for additional details. You should customize the message to include any information required for compliance with privacy laws. For example, add a hyperlink to your privacy policy.

  1. Select Core.

  2. Select Security.

  3. Select Authentication settings.

  4. Select Login page settings.

  5. For More information link, select Enable.

  6. For Enter a label for the link, enter a customized message, such as "More login and privacy info."

    By default, the label says "More login information."

  7. You can also Enter a label for the BBID username. For example, your school may customize this text to reference only email addresses, only usernames, or to include a more specific example with your claimed email domain.

    By default, the label says "Username or Email".

  8. Select Save.

  9. To add a separate link to help parents single sign on (SSO) with Blackbaud ID, see Domain settings.

  10. Next, customize the text that appears in the pop up message whenever a user select the More information link.

  11. From Core, select Settings.

  12. Select Custom labels & text and then select Custom text/messages.

    Tip: See Custom text/messages to learn more about other items that you can customize from this screen.

  13. Find the item called Login page information and select Edit.

  14. Enter text that will appear in a pop-up when a user selects More Information from the login page.

    Then use the formatting options to customize how the text will appear.

  15. Select Save.

Tip: If a user has the application option in multiple internet browser windows or tabs, inactivity in one of those instances causes them to automatically log out of all instances.
