Data managers use the Data import tool to insert database records in bulk.
Instead of manually adding users or content to your site, use the data import tools to submit a .csv file to Blackbaud for validation and processing. With this tool, you can:
add new users and update existing constituent data. This may include usernames, email addresses, mailing addresses, salutations, mailbox #s, locker #s, student IDs, and custom publishable fields.
upload content such as calendar events. Depending on which products you own, you can also upload academic information (such as sections and enrollments), assessment skills, and athletic information (such as schedules and rosters).
You may also be able to delete some data. The Detailed file layout view identifies removeable data with a Yes in the Ability to Remove Data column. To remove data, in the .csv file you prepare for the job, enter a '^' in the field you want removed.
To view which refreshes and imports are available for your school, select Core, System tools and Data import.
