Manage Student Schedules

Before the academic year begins, schedule managers can create student schedules, handle course requests, and resolve schedule conflicts for current and future students.

Note: See Generate Schedules for a list of requirements.

When you're ready to start to scheduling:

  1. Navigate to Academics.

  2. Select Scheduling.

  3. Choose Requests and schedules.

To generate the student schedule:

  1. Under Student schedule, select Generate student schedule.

  2. Select the terms and school levels to include.

  3. Under Scheduling snapshots:

    • Choose whether to create Scheduling snapshots of the master and student schedules

  4. Under Information to schedule:

    • Choose to Clear out existing student enrollment data

  5. Under Settings to follow:

    • Set the Course settings to followby choosing Follow or Ignore for the listed course restrictions

    • Set the Room settings to followby choosing Follow or Ignore for room capacity restrictions

  6. Under Courses to include:

    • Select to include All courses or Selected courses based on specific criteria

  7. Under Students to include:

    • Select to include All students or Selected students based on specific criteria

  8. Under Incomplete students:

    • Choose whether or not to Create a list of students without a complete schedule

    • Name the list

  9. Select Generate when finished.

Once you have generated the student schedules, review a breakdown of the results.

  1. On the Student schedule tile, select More actions.

  2. Choose View results.

  3. Review the following:

    • Students with minimum enrollment
      Students who have or have not met the minimum number of required enrollments

    • Section information
      Information on sections included, target class sizes, and room capacity

    • Students with fulfilled requests
      Students with all requests fulfilled, some requests unfulfilled, and are missing requests

    • Process statistics
      The students and requests included, and the time elapsed generating student schedules

    • Criteria selected
      The data used to generate student schedules

    • Requests
      Requests fulfilled or unfulfilled, and possible reasons why

  4. To return to the Overview in Requests and schedules, select Back on your internet browser.
