Assignment Notifications

Using Notifications, students, parents, andteachers can sign up to receive assignment notifications via email or text message.

There are several assignment notifications:

  • Assignment Added: this notification is triggered when an assignment is assigned.

  • Assignment Changed: this notification is triggered when a teacher makes changes to an existing assignment.

  • Assignment Graded: this notification is triggered when a teacher grades an assignment.

  • Assignment Missing: this notification is triggered when an assignment is marked as Missing.

  • Late/Missing Online Assignment Submitted: this notification is triggered when an online submission assignment that is marked Late or Missing is submitted. This notification only pertains to online submission assignments, not assessments or discussions.

Academic group managers can customize the notifications and set the default assigned time.

Note: The Assignment notifications are disabled by default. Academic group managers will need to enabled Assignment notifications if they would like their school to use them.

When assignments are added or edited, teachers can determine if the notifications should be sent or not. Teachers can also override the default assignment notification time that is established by the manager.
