Accounts Analysis Filters
When you analyze the performance of your organization's financial efforts in Analysis, Dashboards, the metrics under Accounts (by month, quarter, or year) include the first budget scenario and account category in their respective lists (by default). To select different ones, or to include only accounts that meet specific criteria, such as post status or specific accounts, use the filters.
Tip: These filters are cumulative, so imagine an "and" between each. For example, if you specify both a post status and account class for a specific account category, you can analyze accounts that meet that criteria.
To analyze accounts with journal entries based on a post date, choose a date range in the Post date filter and select Apply.
To analyze accounts with journal entries based on a specific post status, such as Not yet posted, choose one or more statuses in the Post status filter and select Apply.
To analyze accounts associated with encumbrance funds, such as Encumbrance or Regular, choose them in the Encumbrance filter and select Apply.
To analyze a specific budget scenario for a department, such as an Administration or Development budget, choose it in the Budget scenario filter and select Apply.
To analyze accounts associated with a specific account category, such as Revenue, choose it in the Account category filter and select Apply.
To analyze accounts based on a specific segment, such as Account code or Department, choose a segment in the Account segment filter and select Apply.
To analyze accounts based on a specific segment value, choose one or more values in the Account segment value filter and select Apply.
To analyze accounts associated with restrictions, such as Temporarily Restricted or Unrestricted, choose them in the Accounts class filter and select Apply.
To analyze accounts based on a specific status, such as Active or Inactive, select a status in the Account status filter and select Apply.
To analyze only specific accounts, choose them in the Account description filter and select Apply.
Tip: To find a specific account, search the Account description filter for its description.
To analyze only specific accounts, choose them in the Account number filter and select Apply.
Tip: To find a specific account, search the Account number filter for its number.
Tip: To reuse frequent filter selections, save their view to easily apply them in the future. For more information, see Dashboards .
