Asset Transaction Adjustments
When you create a transaction adjustment, you change the distribution or amount of the asset transaction. The purpose of an adjustment is to reverse an incorrect post by creating another post with new distributions.
You can make transaction adjustments only to posted asset transactions.
When you change the amount or distribution of a posted asset transaction, the Create a distribution form appears.
Enter the date and reason for the adjustment. You can also add notes to the adjustment.
Once you create the adjustment, the Adjustments tile appears on the asset transaction record. From the Adjustments tile, you can edit and delete adjustments.
All adjustments associated with an asset transaction appear on the Adjustments tile of the asset transaction record. To edit an adjustment, you can select View distributions next to the adjustment you want to edit.
You can edit the transaction date and distribution information.
All adjustments associated with an asset transaction appear on the Adjustments tile of the asset transaction record. To delete an adjustment, select Delete adjustment next to the adjustment you want to delete.
Note: You cannot delete an adjustment if it has already been posted.
