Note: This content applies to users managed by security groups. If you instead manage a user's security by their roles, see Role-based Security Overview.
Security settings and groups configured in the database view also apply to users of the web view. To view and manage the users and security groups set up in either the database view or web view, select Control Panel. To register users of the database view to use the web view, simply send an invitation to get the process started! From Security, you can view and manage lists of users accounts, invitations, and security groups.
To get users started in the web view, you can simply send them an invitation! To view and manage all users in Financial Edge NXT, including those not yet active in the web view, select the Users list. For each user, you can view details about their Blackbaud account, invitation status, and security group. You can also select to view users based on their invitation status.
Need invitation — To view and manage only users of the database view who haven't yet received an invitation, such as because one wasn't yet sent or due to delivery failure, select this list. From this list, you can send invitations or resend or cancel invitations that failed delivery.
Tip: To send multiple invitations at once, select the checkboxes next to the names and select Send invitations. You can also select the checkbox at the top of the list to select all users in the list at once.
Awaiting response — This tab displays people who received an invitation but haven't yet responded. You can resend or cancel an invitation if needed. For example, maybe you inadvertently sent an invitation to the wrong email address or user, or perhaps the user never received the invitation email.
Registered — This tab displays only users who completed the invitation process, are assigned to a security group, and actively use the web view.
For information about how to manage user accounts, such as to send or cancel an invitation, see Users and Invitations.
Security groups contain users who perform similar tasks and have similar security needs. All users must belong to a group to become active. To view your security groups in the web view, select the Security groups list. For each group, you can view its name and number of users. For more information, see Security Groups.
