Users and Invitations
Note: This content applies to users managed by security groups. If you instead manage a user's security by their roles, see Users.
Use the tabs on the Security page to efficiently manage your web view users. All of your database view users appear in the Financial Edge account column of the user grid. You must register these database view users in order for them to become active users in the web view. You do not assign database view users to security groups from the web view. All database view users will remain in the security group to which they have always belonged.
To get users started in the Financial Edge NXT, simply send them an invitation. From Security, you can view and invite the database view users to the web view. You can also cancel or resend invitations as necessary.
From Security, you can invite users to use the web view.
To invite a user of the database view to use the web view, select Send invitation from their menu on the Users or Need invitation tab, enter their email address, and then select Send invitation. After the user receives the invitation, they appear on the Awaiting response tab.
Tip: To send multiple invitations at once, select their recipients and select Send invitations.
To send a duplicate invitation, such as if email delivery fails or the user can't find the original invitation, select next to the user's name on the Users or Awaiting response tab, select Send another invitation, edit the email address if necessary, and then select Send invitation.

To send a duplicate invitation, such as if email delivery fails or the user can't find the original invitation, select Send another invitation from the user's menu on the Users or Awaiting response tab, edit the email address if necessary, and then select Send invitation.
To cancel an invitation, such as if you inadvertently send one to the wrong email address or user, select Cancel invitation from the user's menu on the Users or Awaiting response tab and then select Cancel invitation.
Tip: To cancel multiple invitations at once, choose their recipients and select Cancel invitations.
To unlink or disconnect a Blackbaud account from a Financial Edge account, such as if you mistakenly link incorrect accounts, select Disconnect accounts from the user's menu on the Users or Registered tab and select Disconnect accounts. When you disconnect accounts, the Blackbaud account can no longer access data available to the Financial Edge account, and the user's status changes to "Not yet invited."
