Advocacy Analysis Report Results

The Advocacy Analysis Report opens with the following links available:

Each report first displays with the Initial Chart Type and Initial Metric (coordinate value) that you chose when configuring report options. However, you can easily switch to the other chart view (for example, from pie chart to bar chart) by clicking the appropriate icon or link. You can also mouse over a chart to view pop-up text for areas that are small and difficult to read.

To choose other parameters to display on the chart, click the column headings for the data you would like to view. For example, you can click the Recipient Name heading (when present) and the Number of Emails Sent heading to see the Recipient vs. the Number of Emails Sent (to that recipient) plotted on the chart.

The columns that appear in the table under the graphic chart are described below.

** The first two analysis dimensions contain the same fields, but the fields are arranged in a different order for the two reports. You may find that one of these two analysis dimensions is more appropriate for a particular report, depending on the number of alerts that you are looking at and the type of data that interests you.

 

**First 4 columns when the Dimension is Analyze by Alert name, Recipient Type and Recipient Name:

Recipient Type

Type of recipient targeted by the alert; for example, Representative, Senator, Governor, CEO, etc.

Important: Will initially display the term all values and combine the totals for messages sent to all types of recipients into one total. Click the heading to change the display to give one record for each type of recipient

Recipient Name

Name of each specific individual who was targeted as a recipient for this alert.

**First 4 columns when the Dimension is Analyze by Recipient Type, Recipient Name and Alert Name:

Recipient TypeType of recipient targeted by the alert(s); for example, Representative, Senator, Governor, CEO, etc.
Recipient Name

Name of each specific individual who was targeted as a recipient for the alert(s)

Important: Will initially display the term all values and combine the totals for messages sent to all recipients of a certain type into one total; however, clicking on the heading will change the display to give one record for each recipient

Alert Name

Name of each Alert that you have selected for the report

Important: Will initially display the term all values and combine the totals for all alerts that targeted each recipient type into one total; however, clicking on the heading will change the display to give one record for each alert that targeted a recipient type

Alert Internal NameInternal Name of each alert that you have selected for the report. Important: Will initially display the term all values and combine the totals for all alerts that targeted each recipient type into one total; however, clicking on the heading will change the display to give one record for each alert that targeted a recipient type

Zip

Zip code of respondents to your alert

Important: Will initially display the term all values and combine the totals from all zip codes into one total for each state; however, clicking on the heading will change the display to give one record for each zip code from which constituents responded

Number of ResponsesThe number of responses from each state, city, or zip code depending on the level to which you have expanded the report; a constituent who takes action on an alert twice will be counted twice in this column

Source TypeUseful to determine the origin of your responses; can contain any of the following values: Web Link with source code value, Tell-A-Friend, E-mail (original), E-mail (forwarded), eCard, Other
Source CodeValue related to the Source Type. Can contain any of the following values: the value passed in as the s_src argument, the forwarding user’s name, the name of the email message, the name of the eCard campaign
SubSource CodeValue related to the Source Type and the Source Code. Examples include: the value passed in as the s_subsrc argument, the URL of the link, the name of the Stationery Layout
Number of ResponsesThe number of responses from each Source Type, Source Code, or SubSource Code depending on the level to which you have expanded the report; a constituent who takes action on an alert twice will be counted twice in this column
