Donor Acquisition Analysis

To help increase your base of supporters and lessen the impact of donor attrition, focus on acquisition efforts to bring new supporters to the fold. To analyze donors who gave to your organization for the first time — or again, after more than five years since their previous gift — in the current year, select Acquisition in Fundraising, Analyze. With these metrics, you can also compare your donor acquisition to previous years' efforts.

By default, the Acquisition metrics include all constituents. To include only donors with specific primary constituent codes or assigned fundraisers, or gifts through specific fundraising efforts, use the filters.

Tip: While acquired donors gave gifts of any type, you can choose whether to analyze their revenue received through cash-in-hand giving or committed through pledges and matching gifts with the Revenue type filter. For more information, see Revenue Types.
