Action Category and Type Analysis

To track the channel used for an interaction — such as Email or Phone call — or the intent of an action, you can track its category. To further describe actions, your organization can configure — in the database view — additional types based on action categories. For example, for a category of Mailing, you may set up types of Birthday and Inquiry. From Fundraising, Analyze or Reporting, Actions, you can compare how many actions of each category or type meet the filters.

Tip: To view a list of actions included in the number-crunching, select the bar in the chart. For further analysis, select Create list to open the list in Lists, where you can apply additional filters, choose columns, and save for future reuse. For more information, see Lists.
