In addition to names and descriptions, tags — similar to hashtags in Twitter or Instagram — can help further identify attachments based on how your organization categorizes them, such as Pictures, Videos, or News clippings. You can choose the applicable tags when you add or edit an attachment.
Note: In the database view, media types help describe files that are attached to constituent, gift, and proposal records. In the web view, those media types appear as tags on only their corresponding attachments. To apply a media type as a tag on another attachment, an admin must set it up as an available attachment tag in the web view.
Admins only! To create a tag so it’s available for attachments, enter it in the Attachment tags field when you add or edit an attachment.
Note: In a future release you’ll also be able to edit and delete attachment tags.
To remove a tag from an attachment, edit the attachment and select X next to the tag in the Attachment tags field.
