The primary goal of your fundraising efforts? The money you raise toward your mission. Depending on the success of your relationships and solicitations, you should receive many charitable gifts.
To help determine the effectiveness of your solicitation process and donor engagement, you can analyze constituent giving from Work Center or a constituent's record. To open the record of a specific gift, select its amount in a list or on a record. For more information, see Gift Records.
Note: Hang tight! It may take at least 30 minutes for gift information added or updated through the database view to appear in the web view.
Depending on your fundraising efforts and constituent relationships, your organization may receive many different types of charitable gifts. For more information, seeGift Types.
Throughout Raiser's Edge NXT, you can manage lists of gifts, such as to analyze giving toward specific campaigns or received during a specific time period. As you work with a list, you can select which gifts and information to view.
Tip: In Work Center, you can view and manage only gifts received from constituents you work with as a fundraiser. For more information, see Work Center.
To change information about a gift, such as if you inadvertently save incorrect details, you can edit or adjust it in the database view.
To update a gift before it posts to the general ledger, search for and select it from Records, Gifts, and then edit the fields as necessary.
To update a gift after it posts to the general ledger, create an adjustment to track the changes for audit purposes. In the database view, search for and select the gift from Records, Gifts, and then select Adjustments to update its record.
Tip: For a quick summary of a constituent's gifts, view the details under Giving on their record. For deeper analysis, select Work with gifts to open a full list of their gifts. For more information, see Constituent Giving.
