Point-to-Point Encryption

Raiser's Edge NXT partners with Bluefin® Payment Systems to offer a PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) solution through Blackbaud Merchant Services and Blackbaud Checkout. The solution encrypts cardholder data at the point of interaction in a PCI-approved ID Tech SREDKey P2PE device and decrypts data off-site in an approved hardware security module. This prevents plain text cardholder data from entering your organization’s system or network and can significantly limit your annual PCI assessment.

Note: Before you enable point-to-point encryption, configure your Bluefin P2PE device. If you previously used the device in another solution, contact your Bluefin relationship manager to have the device configured to work with Raiser's Edge NXT.   1. From Control panel, Settings, select Gift management.

  2. Under Point-to-point encryption, select Edit.

  3. Enable point-to-point encryption, then select Save.

After P2PE is enabled, you must swipe or key in card details through your P2PE device each time you add a credit card payment in the web view.
