Opportunity Purpose Analysis
For each opportunity, you can track the intent of gifts received as a result the effort as its purpose. To gauge the focus of your opportunities and identify areas that could need more attention, select Fundraising, Analyze, Opportunities. Under Opportunities by purpose, you can view how many active opportunities apply toward each purpose.
Tip: To view a list of opportunities that apply toward a purpose, select its bar in the chart. For further analysis, select Create list to open the list in Lists, where you can apply additional filters, choose columns, and save for future reuse. For more information, see Lists.
Purpose looking neglected?
If your opportunities support some purposes more than others, that could be intentional. For example, some purposes may resonate more with donors at a given time and can therefore benefit from the extra attention to maximize fundraising. However, if a purpose deserves additional focus, consider it for new opportunities.
Tip: To adjust the intent of an opportunity, such as to shift its focus to a less supported initiative, edit its purpose. For more information, see Opportunity Summary.
