To help ensure successful interactions with your constituents, reduce costs, and improve the accuracy of your data, Raiser's Edge NXT automatically identifies possible duplicate records in your database. In Tools, Data Health, under Possible duplicates, you can view the number of potential duplicates in your database.
To further review the matches and decide whether to merge any records, select the Possible duplicates total. Under Duplicate management, you see a list of possible duplicates, the strength of the potential match, and what fields the match is based on (name , address , phone number , or email address ).
If you aren't certain whether two records are duplicates, or to choose which information to merge into a single record, you can review potential duplicates for more details.
In Tools, Data Health, select the Possible duplicates total.
Under Duplicate management, you see a list of potential duplicates. To review a set of potential duplicates, select Compare records from the menu or the name of one of the records.
Review the details from the source and target records.
To change which records is the source and which is the target to merge into, select Switch source and target.
If the two records are duplicates, select Select data to merge, choose which information to merge, and select Merge records.
Note: When you merge a set of duplicates, the source record is marked as inactive but not are not deleted. For information about deleting source records, see Delete Merged Source Records.
If the two records aren't duplicates, select These records are not duplicates and Mark as not duplicates.

If you immediately recognize two records that are not duplicates under Duplicate management, you can remove the set of duplicates from the Possible duplicates list without having to review the records in detail. To remove a set of duplicates, select These records are not duplicates from the menu .
Note: Don't see this feature? No need to worry. If all goes well based on feedback and usage, expect its wider release in a future update.
