The program now captures the month, day, and year separately in Birth date fields so website users can enter and view fuzzy values. For example, to keep ages private, website users can enter the month and day of their birth dates and omit the year. Previously, users had to enter all three birth date components. This change provides compatibility with updates made to the Birth date field in the 7.93 version of The Raiser's Edge.
The new birth date entry options appear on the User Login and Profile Form parts. When the Birth date field is required, website users must enter day and month or month and year values.
Website users can also enter fuzzy values when they use the Directory part's search functionality. The search now accepts month and day or month and year values.
Note: Website users can continue to enter four-digit values to search by year.
Fuzzy birth date values appear for the Birth date email merge field and the Profile Display and Directory parts.
