Add IIS Management Scripts and Tools Role Service

For Microsoft's guidance about how to install the IIS Management Scripts and Tools Role Service, see Installing IIS 7 on Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 and Available Web Server (IIS) Role Services in IIS 7.5.

  1. Select Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager.

  2. Server Manager appears. Select Web Server (IIS) under Roles, and click Add Role Services.

  3. The Select Role Services screen appears.

    In the Role services box, scroll down to select IIS Management Scripts and Tools. Click Next.

  4. The Confirm Installation Selections screen appears. Click Install.

    The Installation Progress screen tracks the installation's progress.

  5. After the installation finishes, the Installation Results screen appears. Click Close.

  6. Select Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager.
