Getting Started with eTapestry Starter

Congratulations on your purchase of eTapestry! Welcome to the eTapestry Implementation Guide that will steer you through your implementation process of eTapestry. Please follow the steps below to complete your implementation and start using eTapestry.

  1. Reference this Visual Implementation Guide to track your progress through the implementation process.

Congratulations on your purchase of eTapestry! Welcome to the eTapestry Implementation Guide that will steer you through your implementation process of eTapestry. Please follow the steps below to complete your implementation and start using eTapestry.

Training

The first step of implementation is to sign up and attend the Implementation Workshop. The Implementation Workshop is a one-week series of online webinars designed to help your organization get up to speed on eTapestry quickly. We also recommend that you watch our recorded training videos which cover a wide range of basic and advanced features of the product.

  1. 1. If you haven't signed up for the Getting Started with eTapestry Workshop yet please go here.
  2. Throughout the implementation you can view training videos in your eTapestry database by clicking on the Help & Support menu in the top right-hand corner and then clicking Training. For a quick guide on the recommended order to watch your training videos, please review the Training Paths Per Role.
  3. We also offer live, instructor-led classes and training videos on Training Central (Blackbaud.com credentials required).

Data Transfer

If you have data, you can now import your own data into eTapestry using the import tool built into the product. If you do not have data for an import, you can start using eTapestry immediately.

  1. For help with importing your data into eTapestry, you can reference the Help Documentation or watch the Importing in eTapesetry Training.

A representative from the Resource Management Team will reach out to you to get your data for the conversion. If you do not have data for the conversion you can move to the next step. Otherwise, once you have sent your data you will be assigned a Conversion Analyst and implement the process outlined below. For more information and questions about the conversion process please see the Conversion FAQ.

  1. Data Submission – You will submit your data for conversion over the DropZone.
  2. Welcome – A Conversion Analyst will reach out to you with a welcome email.
  3. Data Security – You will be requested to return a data security spreadsheet important to return to verify that we have the correct data from your organization.
  4. Data Walkthrough – You and your Conversion Analyst will walk through your data in an eTapestry test database. You cannot schedule your Data Walkthrough call until you have signed up for the Getting Started with eTapestry Workshop.
  5. Testing – You will have the opportunity to test your conversion data on testing servers before going live.
  6. Go Live – Once you sign and return the conversion approval form important to return, your data will be moved to the production servers and you can start using your eTapestry database.

Now that you have completed your implementation, you can sign up or purchase personalized one-on-one consulting to help you customize your database.

Additional Training and Support

Moving forward with eTapestry your account will be handed off to our Customer Success Team. This team is made up of Customer Success Managers and Client Account Executives. Other helpful resources for your help outlined below include our Support team.

  1. Customer Success Managers can be contacted regarding educational opportunities, best practices and additional available resources by emailing eTapRelationshipManagers@blackbaud.com.
  2. Client Account Executives are available should you wish to inquire about additional products or need to upgrade your license by emailing eTapClientAccountExecs@blackbaud.com.
  3. You can contact our Support team if you have eTapestry product questions. You can access our How-To Documentation and Knowledgebase 24/7 for various guides, including DIY and eCommerce. During business hours, you can also contact a live support analyst via IM Chat.
