Energy Outreach Colorado is the only independent nonprofit in the state of Colorado that raises money to help provide energy assistance to low-income households. The organization also helps nonprofits reduce energy costs through more efficient systems.

Business Challenge

Traditionally, Energy Outreach Colorado’s donor base skewed toward older donors who made gifts using checkboxes on their utility bills. In order to expand that donor base to younger generations, the nonprofit had to become more effective in using online channels. Energy Outreach Colorado wanted to create an engaging, multi-touch point online communication plan that made it easier for younger generations to donate and kept them involved year-round.
