Scheduling Snapshots

Before generating schedules or making changes to scheduling data, schools using Generate Schedules have the option to create a scheduling snapshot. These snapshots will save scheduling data for the selected terms and school levels, and they can be restored if changes need to be undone or additional changes need to be made. Scheduling snapshots cannot be restored if attendance or grades have been recorded in the affected school levels and terms.

Note: Scheduling snapshots save course section identifiers, rooms, blocks, teachers, and enrollments. They will not restore changes to schedule sets or re-offer courses that have been unoffered.

Create a scheduling snapshot

When using Generate Master Schedule from the Requests and schedules Overview tab, you have the option to create snapshots of your master schedule and student schedules from before sections have been scheduled, after sections have been scheduled, or both. These snapshots will appear on the Scheduling Snapshots page and can be used to restore schedules for all students in the school level and terms selected. You also have the option to create a new scheduling snapshot on the Scheduling Snapshots page.

In the persona menu, select Academics. Go to Scheduling, then Requests and schedules.
Open the Scheduling snapshots tab. Use the dropdown menus at the top of the screen to select the academic year, term, and type of schedule for which you would like to create a snapshot.
Select + Add Snapshot.
Enter a Snapshot name. Optional: Enter a Description.
Check the details listed under Section start terms included and Section start terms not included. Note that if attendance or grades have been taken for a term, a snapshot cannot be created for that term and it cannot be restored. If you need to modify the terms you are including, close the Add scheduling snapshot screen and adjust the year, term, and type before selecting + Add Snapshot again.
Select Save.
