Account Setup
Initially, you set up your account details from Account Setup in the Configuration module of Financial Edge 7. During the setup process, you defined your organization’s account structure, category definitions, invalid segment combinations, and default descriptions. In the web view, from General ledger, Settings, GL setup, Account setup, you can conveniently update some of these areas.
Under Account structure, view a list of segments and their length and separator details that you define in the database view. For more information, see Account Structure.
Under Category definitions, view and edit a list of categories and their corresponding code ranges. For more information, see Category Definitions.
Under Invalid segment combinations, prevent specific combinations of segments from becoming accounts. For more information, see Invalid Segment Combinations.
Under Default descriptions, update all account descriptions. For more information, see Default Descriptions.
