Opportunities are plans that detail and track your efforts to build relationships with prospects and secure major gifts. With Prospect Research Management, you can manage these efforts, from the identification of a prospect to whether you receive a gift and how you'll use their giving.
To help foster relationships, you can view and manage opportunities from their records, the records of their constituents, or lists. To open the record of an opportunity, select its name in a list or on its constituent's record. For more information, see Opportunity Records.
Tip: In Work Center, you can view and manage only opportunities assigned to you or for constituents you work with as a fundraiser. For more information, see Work Center.
Throughout Raiser's Edge NXT, you can manage lists of opportunities, such as for moves management or to analyze their progress. As you work with a list, you can select which opportunities and information to view.
For information about how to select which opportunities — and what information — to view, see Lists.
To view only opportunities that share characteristics such as status or date, select Filters. For more information, see Opportunity List Filters.

On a constituent's record, you can view and manage their opportunities under Opportunities. For each opportunity, you can view details such as the purpose of its gifts, who is assigned to manage it, and its status in the solicitation process. You can also view important funding amounts and dates to track over the life of each opportunity. For deeper analysis, select the Opportunities total to view and manage a full list of their opportunities, such as to filter and analyze by status or date.
