PCI Compliance. Over the past 18 months Blackbaud has embarked on a major program to achieve PCI compliance for all Blackbaud products and services. PCI compliance is a set of security requirements endorsed by the PCI Security Standards Council, founded by a consortium of major credit card brands to enhance credit and debit card data security. The consortium includes Visa Inc., MasterCard Worldwide, American Express, Discover Financial Services and JCB. All organizations that process, store, or transmit payment card data must comply with PCI standards. All existing merchant organizations must comply with PCI standards or risk losing their ability to process credit card payments. Blackbaud Payment Services has passed its PCI DSS audit and has been certified as a Level 1 Payment Gateway Service Provider. The compliant Blackbaud Payment Services is the cornerstone of Blackbaud’s PCI strategy and our long-term approach to help our customers achieve PCI compliancy without making drastic changes to their business processes
Our objective is to provide a compliant, secure, end-to-end environment for all our customers – locally and Blackbaud hosted, so they and their donors can feel confident that the information tracked and managed in in our applications is secure.
