Blackbaud Church Management Update

Blackbaud is ending support for Blackbaud Church Management on January 22, 2024. In October 2022, we notified you that we would not add new features and would only extend contracts for one year. We also shared information about providers for you to consider for your future church management needs.

We want to provide you with the best options to meet your organization’s needs. We have developed partnerships with, providers of Breeze Church Management and Ministry Brands, providers of easyTithe. We believe these partnerships will provide most of you with a specialized church management option that will better meet your needs now and in the future. You can migrate to another provider of your choosing.

We encourage you to consider the next steps that best meet the church management needs of your organization. We will work with you for a smooth transition as you make decisions that are best for your organization regarding your church management solution.

However, Blackbaud suggests or Ministry Brands as an option for your consideration because their Church Management solutions are known as best-in-breed solutions, meet the needs of most of our current Church Management customers, can be implemented quickly, and are generally less expensive for customers than Blackbaud Church Management.

Financial Edge NXT customers can utilize the Microsoft Excel Journal Entry Batch Creator Add-In to import transactions from Breeze into Financial Edge NXT. This tool allows any customer that has Excel to directly connect with FE NXT inside of Excel and import a batch of transactions. If a customer can export their contributions from their Church Management solution into Excel and re-format them accordingly, they should be able to batch import with no issue. In the future, we intend to work with and Ministry Brands to explore the development of a SKY Marketplace app that will directly integrate with Financial Edge NXT.
