We remain committed to helping you raise more money to maximize your mission. Through our two fee-cover models, donor cover and Complete Cover™, we provide you and your supporters with payment and processing cost coverage options.  Both are optional and available with some Blackbaud donation and registration forms. Donor cover

When enabled by your organization and a supporter elects to cover the processing cost, the flat rate listed below will apply for credit card transactions:

• USD:
  • Credit card: 3.5% + $0.30
  • ACH/Direct Debit: 1% + $0.30 (max. $5) per transaction

• CAD:
  • Credit card: 3.5% + $0.30
  • ACSS/Direct Debit: 1% + $0.30 (max. $5) per transaction

• AUD:
  • Credit card: 2.1% + $0.26
  • BECS/Direct Debit: 85c + GST per transaction
• GBP:
  • Credit card: 3.5% + £0.20
  • BACS/Direct Debit: 1% + £0.20 (max. £4) per transaction

• NZD:
  • Credit card: 2.0% + $0.26

• Euro:
  • Credit card: 3.55% + €0.20

Complete Cover™

When enabled by your organization, Blackbaud pays 100% of the fees for eligible online transactions under 3,000 in your home currency, even if the donor doesn’t choose to cover the fees.

U.S. Dollars (USD)

• Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, JCB: 2.99% + $0.30 per transaction (USD)*
• American Express: 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction (USD)
• PayPal: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
• ACH/Direct Debit: 1% + $0.30 (max. $5) per transaction (USD) and $5.00 per returned transaction (USD)

Tap to Pay for iPhone

Customers processing in U.S. dollars and using the most recent version of Blackbaud MobilePay Terminal can now use Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android for a quick, secure, and convenient way to take payments or donations. Blackbaud charges an additional $0.15 per Tap to Pay for iPhone or Android transactions. Rates for transactions are as follows:

• Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, JCB: 2.99% + $0.45 per Tap to Pay
• American Express: 3.5% + $0.45 per Tap to Pay

Canadian Dollars (CAD)

• Visa and Mastercard: 2.79% + $0.30 per transaction (CAD)
• American Express: 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction (CAD)
• PayPal: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction (CAD)
• ACSS/Direct Debit: 1% + $0.30 (max. $5) per transaction (CAD) and $5.00 per returned transaction (CAD)

GBP – Pound Sterling

• Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Maestro: 2.79% + £0.20 per transaction (GBP)*
• American Express: 3.50% + £0.20 per transaction (GBP)*
• PayPal: 2.9% + £0.20 per transaction (GBP)
• BACS / Direct Debit: 1% + £0.20 (max. £4) per transaction and £5 per returned transaction

EUR – Euro

• Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Maestro: 2.79% + €0.20 per transaction (EUR)*
• American Express: 3.50% + €0.20 per transaction (EUR)*
• PayPal: 2.9% + €0.20 per transaction (EUR)

AUD – Australian Dollars

• Visa/Mastercard Rate: 1% + $0.26 per transaction + GST (AUD)
• American Express Rate: 2% + $0.26 per transaction + GST (AUD)
• PayPal: 1.1% + $0.29 per transaction + GST (AUD)
• Direct Debit: $0.85 per transaction + GST (AUD) and $5.00 + GSD (AUD) Direct Debit Decline Transactions only
