Currently the Information Systems Administrator at Cranbrook Schools in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Carolyn began her career in environmental graphic design and wayfinding systems. Helping people find their way in physical spaces naturally translated to web/UX design. Often brought in as a consultant, she joined Cranbrook permanently in 2013 as a webmaster/communications specialist. Determined to improve the web user experience at Cranbrook, Carolyn dedicated herself to learning as much about the products as possible, from user and data management to integrations and processes.
In 2019, she was promoted to her current position of Information Systems Administrator and was instrumental in reconfiguring systems to accommodate hybrid learning environments for Covid-19. She was subsequently awarded Cranbrook Educational Community’s highest honor, the President’s Award for Excellence for her contributions. Carolyn joined the K-12 Advisory Board in 2020, serves on several subcommittees, and has presented at the Blackbaud K-12 User Conference.
Carolyn holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Lawrence Technological University.
