Honoring Juneteenth: Reflecting and Learning Together

Today communities across the US are commemorating Juneteenth (June 19th)—the historic day in 1865 when the last enslaved individuals and families were granted freedom.
At Blackbaud, our employees are dedicating time to honor this pivotal moment in US history by participating in several engaging activities, including exploring rodeo culture in the African American community, hearing from black-owned bookstore owners about the positive contributions they’re making in their communities, volunteering, and more.
Our employees across the US are proud to recognize Juneteenth as a holiday. When we reflect on the past and make space to celebrate progress, we not only welcome more opportunities to foster mutual respect among our colleagues and customers, but we cultivate a workplace where inclusion and belonging continue to be woven into the fabric of our company culture.
