Mike Gianoni is President, CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Blackbaud, the world’s leading provider of AI-powered solutions for social impact.

At Blackbaud, Mike has spent more than a decade transforming how nonprofits, educational institutions, and companies committed to corporate social responsibility harness technology to make the world a better place. Under his leadership, Blackbaud has grown into the AI engine for social impact, delivering the sector’s most intelligent solutions for fundraising and engagement, education, financial management and CSR and grantmaking. The company serves millions of people in over 100 countries, with over $100 billion raised, granted, or managed through its platforms every year, and has been recognized as one of America’s Best Companies by TIME and is a repeat Forbes Most Innovative Growth Company.

Mike joined Blackbaud in 2014 from Fiserv, Inc., a global provider of financial services technology solutions, where he was executive vice president and group president of the Financial Institutions Group. Previously, he was president of Fiserv’s Investment Services division, executive vice president and general manager of CheckFree Investment Services, and the leader of numerous divisions at DST Systems Inc., an information processing and software services company.

An experienced tech executive, Mike’s interest in technology was sparked in high school when he took his first engineering class. He brings a strong track record operating and managing software businesses that deliver value for customers, shareholders and employees, and is an advocate for corporate cultures that encourage employees to thrive professionally and personally while accomplishing strong top-line growth.

A first-generation American with a passion for veterans’ initiatives, animal welfare (especially dogs), and exploring the U.S. coastline by sailboat, Mike currently serves as chairman of the board of directors for Teradata and is a member of the President’s Advisory Board at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He was also the co-chair of the Generosity Commission, a cross-sector collaboration of The Giving Institute and Giving USA Foundation dedicated to fostering civic engagement and philanthropy. Mike is a former member of the board of directors for the International African American Museum in Charleston, the LibertyHealth System (New Jersey), the American Red Cross Southeast County (Massachusetts) and the University of New Haven. He holds degrees in engineering and business, as well as an MBA and Honorary Doctorate from the University of New Haven.
