Associated Press – Software provider Blackbaud adds 300 jobs in Charleston – A company that provides computer software and other services for nonprofits and charities is expanding its headquarters in Charleston and plans to add 300 jobs during the next five years. Blackbaud made the announcement Wednesday. The jobs are being added on Daniel Island as it expands its headquarters operations. The first phase of the expansion should be finished in 2018. Blackbaud was founded back in 1981 and now provides software and services for organizations that handle an estimated $100 billion each year. The company has about 35,000 customers in 60 countries. It operates facilities in the United States and Canada as well as Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
