The month of June in the US and in many cities around the world is recognized as PRIDE Month—a month of commemorating activism, celebrating culture, and uplifting voices advocating for equal rights in the LGBTQ+ community. Blackbaud is proud to be among those celebrating and furthering the conversation around equity, inclusion and belonging for all. We recognize that our different backgrounds, skill sets and talents make up our unique global workforce, and it is our collective commitment to diversity and inclusion that will help us ensure every employee—no matter their background—feels welcome to be their full, authentic selves at work.
To celebrate PRIDE Month, Blackbaud will have several employee-led activities happening throughout the month, tailored to educational, informative and fun content for all employees. A few of these activities include hosting a panel discussion on queer parenting covering what it is like to be a queer parent and/or to parent queer children. We will also partner with Goodera on a volunteer activity where employees will create digital fact cards on social-emotional learning for LGBTQ+ youth. Employees will also have an opportunity to join a fun, employee-led, virtual Rainbow Week, where employees wear a color of the PRIDE flag every day of the week and receive opportunities to learn more about what that color on the flag represents.
We are excited to learn, engage and celebrate PRIDE Month as a global company. We understand that what makes us all different makes us all stronger, and that we can accomplish more together.
