Blackbaud Recognized on Newsweek’s America’s Greenest Companies 2026 List
We’re proud to announce that Blackbaud has once again been named one of America’s Greenest Companies by Newsweek, earning a spot on the 2026 list. Blackbaud was also included on the 2025 list, as well as Newsweek’s World’s Greenest Companies 2025. For the third year, Newsweek has partnered with Plant-A Insights and GIST Impact to evaluate 450 companies across the U.S. that are leading the way in environmental responsibility.
This year’s ranking assessed organizations using more than 25 sustainability metrics across four key categories: greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste generation, and transparency in sustainability data and commitments. Blackbaud’s inclusion reflects our continued progress in reducing environmental impact while empowering our customers to do the same.
“As a company that powers social impact, sustainability is not just a goal, it’s a guiding principle,” said Margaret “Maggie” Driscoll, chief people and culture officer at Blackbaud. “Being named one of America’s Greenest Companies for the second year in a row reinforces our commitment to responsible operations and innovative solutions that help our customers drive meaningful change in their communities and for the planet.”
Over the past several years, Blackbaud has advanced several key initiatives, including:
- Reducing energy consumption through energy-efficient technologies across offices and data centers
- Supporting remote work to minimize commuting-related emissions
- Partnering with green-certified vendors and environmentally conscious suppliers
Blackbaud remains dedicated to helping social impact organizations reduce their own environmental footprint through technology, practices, and partnerships. Explore the 2024 Impact Report to learn more about how we’re driving sustainability forward.
