Privacy Notice –
US Employees
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and interns of Blackbaud, Inc. and its subsidiaries located in the United States (collectively referred to as “Blackbaud”). Blackbaud is committed to respecting privacy, especially when it comes to the data of our employees. We use your data as described below in connection with your employment while you are working for us, at the time when your employment ends, and after you have left.
What Data Do We Collect?
We collect:
- Name and contact details
- Details of your employment arrangement or contract
- Date of birth, gender, marital status, race/ethnicity, and military service information
- Financial information including bank account information, tax-related documentation, and pay stubs
- Compensation plan participation and amounts of compensation on each
- Eligibility to work, citizenship, visa requirements, and other related citizenship information
- Details of your education, career history, qualifications, and publications
- Trainings/certification course registration, participation, and completion history
- Performance reviews, feedback, goals and disciplinary, grievance, and capability information
- Emergency contact, dependents, and beneficiary information
- Benefit election details
- Photographs of you
- Government-issued documentation numbers
- Medical information
- Records of holiday, sickness, and other absence including but not limited to maternity and paternity
Much of the information we hold will have been provided by you, but some may come from other sources, such as your manager and coworkers, past employers, government authorities, or the like.
How Do We Use Your Data?
As your employer, Blackbaud needs to keep and use information about you for normal employment purposes. The information we hold and use will be used for our management and administrative use only. We will keep and use it to enable us to run the business and manage our relationship with you effectively, lawfully, and appropriately. Such uses include:
- Assessing your performance
- Administering pay and benefits
- Complying with applicable employment laws and regulations
- Processing employee work-related claims
- Administering training
- Processing employee relations activities, such as conducting investigations into or preparing for grievance claims, disciplinary actions, or termination
- Compiling work directories
- Providing you with the technology and services access you need to do your job
- To keep you informed with news about Blackbaud’s activities and services
- Promoting your work, like sharing your speaking engagements on Blackbaud’s social media accounts
- Handling emergencies, like contacting your emergency contacts
We may collect personal data relating to your health, which will be used as required for us to comply with our health and safety and occupational health obligations, like assessing how your health affects your ability to do your job and whether any adjustments to your job might be appropriate. We will also need your personal health data to administer and manage sick pay and medical leave and in connection with the provision of health insurance or life insurance policies.
We may disclose the personal data set forth above (see “What Data Do We Collect?”) to our affiliated organizations and subsidiaries where necessary, and to service providers who provide employment-related services to Blackbaud (such as Workday). We do not sell your personal data or share your personal data for purposes of targeted advertising. Blackbaud will maintain and use any de-identified data only in a de-identified form and not attempt to re-identify de-identified data.
We keep your personal data in an identifiable form for as long as we have a legitimate reason to use the data and as required by law.
To assess employees’ compliance with Blackbaud’s policies and procedures, we monitor your use of Blackbaud’s technology and information assets, including your work computer and Blackbaud internet use. What Rights Do California Employees Have?
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the Consumer Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (the “CCPA”), affords California employees the right to know what information we collect and disclose; the right to access a copy of your data; and the right to request deletion or correction of your data. You would ordinarily have the right to opt out of the sale of your data or the sharing of your data for purposes of targeted behavioral advertising, but we don’t sell employee data or share employee data for those purposes. We can’t discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

If you are a California employee, you can exercise your privacy rights by visiting our Data Subject Rights Requests page at https://www.blackbaud.com/company/Data-Subject-Rights-Request or by calling our toll-free number at +1 844-532-0022. We will verify your identity where required prior to fulfilling your request, which may require government identification. Authorized agents may be used to submit rights requests, in which cases we will take steps to verify your identity and that the agent has authority to act on your behalf.

International Transfers of Personal Data
Blackbaud has self-certified to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (collectively, the “Data Privacy Framework”).
