  • I'M NEW TO BLACKBAUD UNIVERSITY. WHERE DO I START?

  • How do I log in to BlackbaudU Campus?
    1. Go to Blackbaud.com.
    2. From the main menu, select Training and Support > Training > BlackbaudU Campus.
    3. Use your BBID login information to access BlackbaudU Campus.

    Pro Tip: For quick and easy access to training, bookmark BlackbaudU Campus!  

  • How do I find courses for my product/solution?
    1. Log in to BlackbaudU Campus.
    2. Select Product Catalogs from the BlackbaudU Campus homepage.
    3. Select your Product and click VIEW COURSES.
    4. Select the desired Learning Path.
    5. Select Enroll to enroll in the Learning Path.
    6. Once you have enrolled in the Learning Path, a message displays allowing you to view or access courses within the Learning Path.
  • What is a Learning Path?

    A Learning Path contains a list of courses focused on a specific product area or topic in the order recommended by our Blackbaud University curriculum experts.

  • How do I track my training progress?
    1. Log in to BlackbaudU Campus.
    2. Select User Menu (the three horizontal lines in the upper-left).
    3. Select My Transcript.
    4. Scroll down to see your courses: Not StartedIn Progress, and Completed.

  • HOW TO ENROLL IN AN INSTRUCTOR-LED TRAINING CLASS
    1. Go to Blackbaud.com.
    2. Select Training and Support > Training > BlackbaudU Campus.
    3. Select Product Catalogs from the BlackbaudU Campus homepage.
    4. Select your Product and click VIEW COURSES.
    5. Select the desired Learning Path.
    6. Select Enroll to enroll in the Learning Path.
    7. Once you have enrolled in the Learning Path, a message displays allowing you to view or access courses within the Learning Path.
    8. If you are already enrolled in a Learning Path, select the User Menu (the three horizontal lines in the upper-left).
    9. Select My Transcript.
    10. From the In Progress list, select an Instructor-Led Training class.
    11. Select desired course date and time.
    12. Select ENROLL INTO THIS SESSION. The class will appear on your transcript, under My Upcoming Training.

    Alert: Instructor-Led Training classes with recommended prerequisites will appear in the Not Started list until the prerequisites are met.

  • HOW TO PREPARE FOR AN INSTRUCTOR-LED ONLINE COURSE

    Review the following information to prepare for an instructor-led online event.

    Webex: Blackbaud uses a virtual training platform provided by Cisco Webex to create an interactive online classroom. To test that your computer can successfully connect to Webex sessions, join a test meeting or view the Webex system requirements.

    Alert: Our live courses require a full desktop or laptop workstation and will not work correctly on a mobile device.

    Training Environment: To be sure your computer meets the minimum requirements, at least one day before the scheduled start time please refer to Training Environment System Requirements.  

    Class Materials: Class materials are available for download upon logging in to class. If you wish to print the class materials beforehand, you can do so by taking these steps: 

    1. Go to Blackbaud.com.
    2. Select Training and Support > Training > BlackbaudU Campus.
    3. Select the User Menu (the three horizontal lines in the upper-left).
    4. Select My Transcript.
    5. Scroll down and click on your course title.
    6. Select the Course Materials tab.
    7. Click the title of the Training Material file to download.
  • HOW TO LAUNCH AN INSTRUCTOR-LED COURSE

    Our courses open 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Take these steps to launch your class:

    1. Go to Blackbaud.com.
    2. Select Training and Support Training BlackbaudU Campus.
      Alert
      : If prompted, be sure to choose your organization’s name, not Blackbaud University.
    3. Select the User Menu (the three horizontal lines in the upper-left).
    4. Select My Transcript.
    5. Select the course from My Upcoming Training.
    6. Click the class event details.
    7. Click Join the webinar to launch the course.

    Note: The virtual classroom will open in a new window, where an instructor will be ready to greet you.

    * In addition to requiring certification, some advanced courses may require prerequisites to help you prepare for and get the most benefit from advanced course topics. For details on which courses require certification as a prerequisite, locate the desired course in BlackbaudU Campus and refer to the Overview section for more information.

  • HOW TO VIEW YOUR UPCOMING, IN PROGRESS, OR COMPLETED COURSES

    Log in to your BlackbaudU Campus account and view your training progress at any time:

    1. Go to Blackbaud.com.
    2. Select Training and Support > Training > BlackbaudU Campus.
    3. Select the User Menu (the three horizontal lines in the upper-left).
    4. Select My Transcript.
    5. Scroll to see Courses Not Started / Courses in Progress / Completed Courses.

  • HOW TO UNENROLL FROM OR RESCHEDULE A CLASS
    1. Go to Blackbaud.com.
    2. Select Training and Support Training BlackbaudU Campus.
      Alert: If prompted, be sure you choose your organization’s name, not Blackbaud University.
    3. Select the User Menu (the three horizontal lines in the upper-left).
    4. Select My Transcript.
    5. In Courses in Progress, select the session for which you are currently enrolled.
    6. On the Session Details page, click the Unenroll from this session button (first button in the upper-right).
    7. To confirm that you want to unenroll from the current course, select Yes, I want to proceed, and click CONFIRM.
    8. To reschedule, click the down arrow to expand the session details for the desired date/time, and select ENROLL INTO THIS SESSION.

     

  • HOW THE INTEREST LIST PROCESS WORKS

    If the maximum enrollment capacity for a course is reached, you can still let us know you’re interested in the class. Joining the Interest List sets an in-system notification that alerts you when future sessions are scheduled and lets our team know that there is demand for a course.

    While we cannot guarantee a seat on a specific date and time unless you are enrolled in a course, we monitor interest and add additional sessions to the public schedule on a regular basis.

  • HOW TO USE BLACKBAUDU CAMPUS LEARNING PATHS

    BlackbaudU Campus Learning Paths are training plans we have structured for users specifically based on their roles, responsibilities, and experience levels. Each Learning Path’s courses are listed in the recommended order.

    To find Learning Paths related to your product:

    1. Go to Blackbaud.com.
    2. Select Training and Support > Training > BlackbaudU Campus.
      Alert: If prompted, be sure you choose your organization’s name, not Blackbaud University.
    3. From the BlackbaudU Campus homepage, select Product Catalogs. Then, under your specific product, select VIEW COURSES.

    It is recommended that newer users start with their product’s Fundamentals Learning Path.

    To access a specific Learning Path, click on the desired Path and then select Enroll in the upper-right of the Learning Path’s page. Then select Access Courses to see the various courses included in your specific Learning Path.

    Please Note: Users must register for a specific session for each instructor-led course. To do so, click on each course within the Learning Path to see available days/times for each session. Once you have found an appropriate day/time, select that session, and select Enroll into this Session to reserve your seat for that specific session.

  • HOW TO ADD NEW USERS TO BLACKBAUDU CAMPUS

    Your Blackbaud Learn® training subscription offers all the basic training a new staff member needs to master basic product use skills. Curriculum included in a Learn subscription can be taken repeatedly throughout the year, as needed. 

    If you are an administrator and would like to add a new user, refer to this Knowledgebase article for detailed Blackbaud.com login information.   

    Note: Users may still see pricing in BlackbaudU Campus for up to 48 hours after a new Learn® training subscription is purchased. This will resolve itself and users may register for class by contacting [email protected].

  • INCORRECT LEVEL OF ACCESS IN BLACKBAUDU CAMPUS

  • TRANSFERRING TRAINING FROM A PREVIOUS PROFILE

    If you took Blackbaud University training at a previous organization in 2019 or later, it can be transferred to your current organization’s transcript. To request a transfer, please email [email protected] with your past and current emails and organization names.

    If you are looking for training data from our prior Learning Management System (Training Central) prior to January 2019, please email [email protected] with your past and current emails and organization names.
