Blackbaud has welcomed a new executive director and new members to its K–12 Executive Advisory Board, which gathers leaders from prominent K–12 independent schools across the U.S. and Canada to offer their expertise on the needs of the sector.

It’s Black History Month in North America this February, and we’re reflecting on and honoring the vital contributions of Black Americans and Canadians. This year’s theme, “African Americans and Labor,” emphasizes the invaluable impact and dedication of Black individuals in various industries, so here at Blackbaud, we’re celebrating the impact of Black individuals on progress in tech.

Blackbaud announced that its 2025 annual major gift will support the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP), a nonprofit organization that helps individuals, foundations and corporations increase the effectiveness of their philanthropic response to disasters and humanitarian crises.

The call for speakers is now open for bbcon 2025, happening in Philadelphia, October 6-8, 2025. We are looking for dynamic individuals who are experts in Blackbaud software to share knowledge and insights at Blackbaud’s biggest in-person event of the year. As we approach Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 20, we are reminded of the profound impact Dr. King had on civil rights and social justice. This day is not only a time to honor the legacy of a man who courageously championed equality and justice, but also a moment to reflect on how we can embody the principles he advocated for.

This month marks twenty-five years of spreading holiday cheer through Blackbaud’s annual holiday toy drive. What began in South Carolina in partnership with Toys for Tots has since grown to support children in need worldwide – creating a remarkable Blackbaud tradition along the way.

Blackbaud shared ways it has supported philanthropy through its global corporate social responsibility (CSR) program this year. Blackbaud creates essential software to help its social impact customers fuel their missions, while giving back to global communities through its own philanthropy.

Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB), the leading provider of software for powering social impact, today filed a Form 8-K with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stating that the Company concluded a material pre-tax noncash impairment charge, which may be up to approximately $415 million, is required for its EVERFI asset group and will be recorded during the fourth quarter of 2024.

Over 1,700 fundraisers looking to boost donations to their organizations entered Blackbaud’s recent Giving Glow-Up Giveaway, a contest for new and existing users of Blackbaud’s Standard and Optimized Donation Forms available in Blackbaud Altru®, Blackbaud CRM™, and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT®. Three organizations using the forms were randomly selected and each awarded with a $5,000 donation from Blackbaud.
